After all the chaos of the Livery Labyrinth and the city that followed, Emilia and the children have been taken in by the Risen Guard. Overall, they are safe there, but as Emilia learns more about the organization, she realizes she won't be leaving anytime soon.
Not unless she accepts help from an unlikely ally, anyways.
As she and those who chose to escape the Risen Guard Compound with her run into an old acquaintance, they must face the reality that something even worse than the blood curse is lingering within this world, ones that may reach beyond even the world of {A Life (not) in the Stars}.
