Censors

☆About☆

Designed in Baalphoria, Censors act as their owners interface with much of the world.

A requirement for Baalphorians—and increasingly more of The Free Colonies, since the end of the war—they are installed when most people are 14 into the base of their skull. Baalphorians spend the next few years learning to use their Censors, using them to message, research, and connect to the Virtuosi System and Virtual Raids. They are also the primary way that Baalphorians activate skills, Censors doing many of the calculations and interfacing with the aethernet.

During the war, a temporary Censor was designed for people from The Free Colonies who did not wish to have one permanently installed. These can be removed and installed at will—although the process is moderately painful. Temporary Censors are also known for being more accepting of their owners using their cores alongside them.

☆Trivia☆

  • Even Emilia's Censor will never match Raphael's
  • They can be heavily modified, through themes, choose of functions, and hacking
    • Hacking is relatively uncommon, and most of the population has Censors with the default settings
  • Censors are capable of stopping their owner from using their cores, although this isn't well known as most Baalphorians do not use their cores
